Meet Our Physicians Accepting New Patients

Dana Williams Chopra, MD

Dr. Chopra is board certified in geriatric medicine and internal medicine.

She earned her medical degree from East Tennessee State University’s James H. Quillen College of Medicine and completed her internal medicine training at the University of Louisville. She went on to complete a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Chopra also holds a bachelor’s degree in human nutrition, foods, and exercise from Virginia Tech.

Dr. Chopra provides primary care with a focus on older adults and individuals looking for more personalized, prevention-focused care. She enjoys partnering with patients and families over time to simplify care plans, bring clarity to complex decisions, and stay proactive about long-term health.

Her approach to care is thoughtful and highly individualized. Dr. Chopra believes listening is one of the most important parts of medicine and prioritizes understanding each patient’s goals, prior healthcare experiences, and support system. She values having the time to deliver the kind of care she would want for her own family, with easier access to answers and a plan patients can feel confident following.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Chopra enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband and young son, attending concerts, and gardening.

Chanh Huynh, MD

Dr. Huynh is board certified in family medicine.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in life sciences from Arizona State University, graduating with the highest academic standing.

Dr. Huynh provides comprehensive primary care for patients across the lifespan. He takes a proactive approach that helps patients stay ahead of health risks. He also partners with patients to manage chronic conditions and tackle new concerns as they arise.

Dr. Huynh’s approach is evidence-based and relationship-centered. He values continuity of care and begins by listening, taking time to understand what matters most to each patient, including their goals, life context, and family dynamics.

He is guided by the belief that trust is the foundation of great care and hopes patients feel comfortable, supported, and confident in the plan they build together, with an emphasis on prevention and sustainable lifestyle strategies.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Huynh spends time with his wife and two daughters. He stays active with hiking, running, traveling, and pickleball. He also enjoys reading and being involved in his church community.

Kush Patel, MD

Dr. Patel is board certified in internal medicine.

He earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine training at Lenox Hill Hospital, Zucker School of Medicine, in New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He graduated summa cum laude from Rockhurst University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in business administration, where he also serves as vice chairman of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Patel is currently pursuing board certification in obesity medicine through the Columbia/Cornell Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Patel provides comprehensive primary care with the goal of maximizing longevity and quality of life. His approach is rooted in understanding each patient as an individual, allowing them to make informed decisions about their health. He believes the physician-patient relationship should extend beyond the traditional exam room, with primary care physicians serving as trusted long-term healthcare counsel.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Patel maintains balance through mindfulness and meditation. He enjoys weightlifting, golf, pickleball, and hiking and appreciates the value of these activities in supporting overall performance and well-being.

Sara Swanton, DO | Starting July

Dr. Swanton is board certified in family medicine.

She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at Duke/Southern Regional AHEC in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in exercise and health science from Alma College, where she graduated summa cum laude.

Dr. Swanton provides comprehensive primary care with a focus on prevention, chronic disease management, and whole-person health. She partners with patients to manage complex conditions, address new concerns, and take a proactive approach to long-term wellness through personalized, evidence-based care.

“I don’t want to just react to problems,” she says. “I want patients to understand what’s happening in their bodies and feel empowered to make decisions that improve their health over time.”

Her approach is both evidence-based and holistic. Dr. Swanton believes in treating the root cause of illness, working with each patient as an individual, and utilizing both lifestyle approaches and medications to optimize results. She prioritizes building strong relationships with her patients, taking time to listen, educate, and collaborate so care aligns with each person’s goals.

“I see my role as a partner,” Dr. Swanton says. “My job is to guide patients and support them in making the best choices for their health.”

Outside of medicine, Dr. Swanton enjoys staying active through swimming, running, strength training, and golf, and spending time outdoors with family.
